When you get thick pine beams…you make a thick beam pine table!
Recently I acquired these really thick pine beams from a friend. They’re roughly four by six inches thick and really have a fun ‘rustic’ look to them.
I set about joining two together for the top section of the table and then utilize square 6×6 ones as the legs. The top was ‘distressed’ and lightly stained with a greying stain to add a weathered look. The legs were measured and then a small square drop in slot was created with the router for them to sit in place. All of the assembly took place with glue.
The top was given a chamfer on the bottom edge adding to the overall style and finish. This thing is hefty weighing in at nearly 75lbs. This makes for a great console or entry way table.
