Burnout happens to nearly everyone at some point. Being a woodworking and tackling projects at a slower pace still isn’t immune to this simple truth. How can you combat this? What’s ideal for reducing or recovering from burnout?
I’m often inspired by wood scraps. Not so much with their grain, tone or overall appearance, but with what can potentially be made from them. It’s almost a completely blank canvas yelling at me “build something awesome”. This is what sparks my creativity at times.
What makes a good woodworker? A good ‘woodsmith’? A good wood craftsman?
Water popping is raising the grain during the sanding process by spritzing water onto the surface in-between sand paper grits, to get a very flat & smooth finish on a piece. Let me explain…
