Progress in Woodworking Projects
Ever have one of those projects that seems to take “forever”? One that feels super hard to get anywhere or on do anything meaningful with? I get it…I do too sometimes.

I’m not reinventing the wheel here, I’ll make that clear. Flower boxes, planter boxes and patio ‘dress up’ items have been created in many ways by many other woodworkers for a long time now. I’m just sharing my project thoughts and results.
As seasons change so do the projects one is working on. Rolling into spring often means more outdoor creations. How can you adapt as a woodworker? Should you adapt?
I’m often inspired by wood scraps. Not so much with their grain, tone or overall appearance, but with what can potentially be made from them. It’s almost a completely blank canvas yelling at me “build something awesome”. This is what sparks my creativity at times.
Woodworking by its very nature is VAST in variety. Wood species, project type, stains, finishes and overall construction make the possibilities nearly endless. What if you never deviate from your ‘comfort zone’ though on a build?
