I’m not reinventing the wheel here, I’ll make that clear. Flower boxes, planter boxes and patio ‘dress up’ items have been created in many ways by many other woodworkers for a long time now. I’m just sharing my project thoughts and results.
I found the popular plans on YouTube (via Who’s The Voss) and these were a great project to make up. I grabbed some cedar timber, measured twice and went to work. I won’t go into steps or details on the how to for each build, I’ll let you watch the videos linked below should you want to see that.
What I can say is this is a GREAT add on project for anyone starting out, looking to spruce up their yard OR as a gift for existing clients with your woodworking business. It’s a simple way to connect with new clients too.
What are your thoughts on making seasonal items? What type of outdoor stuff do you like to make?
