Simplicity has it’s place with many things in life. Sometimes keeping it simple can yield big results in a finished product.

There are a variety of details and steps that go into the planning of a project, no matter the size. Yes larger projects OR more intricate projects often require more details or steps for completion to happen – but often times the simplest aspect can really end up being a key aspect.

I recently produced a number of cherry & walnut charcuterie serving boards all with their own unique design and feel. One board that’s heading out needed a simple laser engraving. I say simple in that the design and overall look of the engraving is indeed simple. Of course finding the right image, sizing it, testing it and ensuring it was properly placed was another 15 steps by itself.

But the result? An awesome clean board with a unique detail that sets it apart. Nothing flashy. No bells. No whistles. Just a great serving board.

Details matter and often times the smallest ones yield big results on your projects, so don’t overlook them.
